Located just 140 miles via scenic, paved highway from Anchorage, Soldotna is the central hub of the Kenai Peninsula. Soldotna borders the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and other nearby state park lands that are rich in wildlife, home to moose, caribou, brown and black bear, wolves, dall sheep, mountain goats, eagles, swans, ducks, geese, birds, fish, and numerous others. Moose often wander right into town, and bald eagles are commonly seen.
The Soldotna Visitor Information Center is operated by the
Soldotna Chamber of Commerce. The Center boasts a world-class photo
display of the Peninsula. Open all year round, the Center is located
on the banks of the famous Kenai River. Come in and let us help you
with your travel plans.
Our friendly staff at the Soldotna Visitor Center welcomes you 7
days a week in the summer, and 5 days a week in the winter. You'll
find our center located on the right hand side just as you cross the
Kenai River.
